Student Voice

We believe that all students are entitled to contribute actively to shaping the educational experience they and their fellow students receive. Sharnbrook Academy is committed to placing ‘Student Voice’ at the centre of student well-being and design of the wider curriculum. Throughout our students journey we will ask for them to give us feedback in many different ways.

We have a number of different branches of student’s groups that help us with this feedback, and these make up our ‘Student Voice’. These include our student form captains, EDI group, SEND pupils etc. These pupils have demonstrated commitment to the school community and are active in academy life.

They are positive role models and are keen to promote the school’s ethos. They make suggestions for change and let us know when we can do things better. After the senior team have meet with them, we look to put strategies in place to improve student well-being and make the school a better place by conducting a “You said, We did” policy. In these meetings we have recently discussed praise, rewards, the new house logos, unstructured time, community, social media, facilities, form time, pride, and anti-bullying.

Listening to the pupils is integral to school life and we at Sharnbrook Academy are committed to hearing as many voices as possible.
